Everyone has "wonder" fabric in their stash. You know, the fabric that you look at and think "I wonder what I was thinking?".

But you'd be surprised. These fabrics are treasures to other people! So why not swap your "wonder" fabric for someone else's "treasure" (in your eyes).

 

The IFQ "Your Trash, My Treasure" Swap allows you to do just that! It is a "Members Only" privilege to participate. If you are a member and are not logged in, certain areas of this page will not be visible to you. ONLY MEMBERS CAN POST here. Here's how it works.

You must be a member to participate!

Take a picture of your "wonder" fabric. This is a very important step. Make sure your picture is clear and not that large. The posted picture can not be larger than 200 pixels wide. If you try to post a large picture, it will be compressed and certainly won't look good. You may not find anyone interested in swapping then! Be sure your picture is well lit and clear. You may post two pictures of the fabric. We recommend a close picture of the motif and a wider picture of the overall look of the fabric.

You must also post a small description of the fabric. That should include the manufacturer and the condition it is in. You will also be asked if it has been prewashed and how large it is.

You email address will be posted automatically with the picture so members interested in swapping can contact you. PLEASE NOTE that this is only visible to IFQ members who are logged in. If a casual visitor comes upon the page, they will see only the fabric pictures and the comment.

When you see something that interests you, please contact the member directly. You can determine what you both feel is a fair swap by perhaps sending pictures of other fabrics via email. You can exchange postal information and determine how you want it sent.

Please let us know when a swap has occurred so we can take the pictures off the page.

You can now give that fabric you were never going to use but hated to throw away a good home and found a new treasure in the meantime!
