The theme for the 4th International Friendship Quilters' Crazy Quilt Round Robin is Flowers and Butterflies.
Val Dickinson, of V - LadyBugs Friendship Quilters, and Janet Lucas, of V-Piecemakers Friendship Quilters, are hosting this Crazy Quilt Round Robin.
If you have never taken part in a Crazy Quilt Round Robin before, or are a little unsure what to do, you may contact them at CQRR07@friendshipquilters.com.
Thanks, Val and Janet!
In this IFQ Crazy Quilt Round Robin, you will start a Crazy Quilt block which is passed around the participants for embellishment. Because it's one block, postage is minimal. When the block returns to you, it is a work of beauty!
To participate in this event, you need to sign up before the January 17, 2007 deadline.
After signing up you can start collecting fabrics to make your block. The email you will receive after signing up will contain all of the details but, in a nutshell, you will make a Crazy Quilt block of any size including a minimum of 9 patches. This block will be mailed to your team members who will each add embellishment to the seams and patches. The block will return home in a glorious state!

A picture of your basic block must be put into the CQ RR - Flowers & Butterflies picture gallery before the January 26 Picture Posting Deadline. Only those participants who have met this requirement will then be assigned mailing partners.
No later than February 8 you will mail your block, along with a small notebook for comments, to the assigned person. As your block travels through the rounds, each person will work on the block, add comments to the notebook, and send them on. NOTE: all overseas packages MUST be sent airmail.
As you send and receive blocks from all around the world you will keep Val or Janet informed of the progress. They will see that everything keeps running smoothly!
Look here for some ideas to get your creative juices started.
There is a Crazy Quilt category in the IFQ Forum where you can ask and answer questions, share ideas, and report progress. The IFQ Calendar also lists all important Crazy Quilt deadlines.
In a few months' time your own block will return home, all prettied up with beautiful embellishment and embroidery.
If you have any questions at all - email Val and Janet.
They will be glad to help!
