IFQ PICTURE POSTING

CHAT ROOM STATUS

There are no members in the IFQ chat room now.

Picture posting is a VERY important part of IFQ. It's another way we get to share with oneSnapshot of Sun another. Also, in many IFQ events, it is required to post a photo of your FINISHED item by the picture posting deadline. This rule is in place to minimize the possibility of member disappointment, so it is a hard and fast rule. We want to protect members from the frustration of having put a lot of effort into an exchange and then being paired with a member who over committed and did not follow through. Also, that non-participating member should not receive a delightful FAP or ATC or other project, if they have not sent something to their partner in return. A few IFQ members have dropped the ball badly in these events and we want to protect the other members from disappointment. If you post a picture of your completed object, we know that you have something to send to your partner.

Of course, life is unpredictable and there might be a time when events conspire against you and you need to drop out of an event. We certainly understand this. If you contact the host of the event and let them know as soon as possible, it is never a problem. This way, the host can make adjustments and no one is disappointed.

STOP!

BEFORE YOU POST YOUR PICTURES, you must prepare them. Please do not post any pictures that you have not downsized. The most common mistake members make is posting a picture that is WAY too big. This causes the gallery to freeze and all members suffer since no one can see the pictures. But we have something that will help you with prepping your IFQ pictures for posting!

We've found an online photo editing site!

Let us tell you a bit about this. When you get to the site, don't panic - you'll see an offer for their PRO service for $9.00 a month.WE DON'T NEED THIS. Just use the box you find on your left that says "Open from your computer". Click on the "Browse" button and find your file.

Cat SnapShotWhen you upload your file, you'll come to a screen where you can drag the corners of your image to the size you want. Remember, no dimension should be bigger than 600 pixels. Then just save it back to your computer!! (And remember where you put it so you can find it to post it on IFQ! It's best to give it a file name that makes sense to you.)

If you want to get really fancy, you can change the brightness or contrast of the photo too by clicking on the ADJUST button!! It's really easy to use and makes picture posting simple!

Your next step is to use the form below to post the picture. Just remember to follow all the steps below!

1. Pick your name or the name of the IFQ member who created the piece (if you are posting for someone else).

2. Choose the event this picture is for - FAP, ATC, etc.

3. Please write a comment about the piece.

4. Click on the "Browse" button and find the picture file on your computer.

5. Click on the "POST MY PICTURE" button!

REMEMBER TO MAKE SURE YOUR PICTURES ARE NOT TOO BIG!!

When you successfully post a picture, you will be taken to a "success" page with the picture on it. If you are not taken to this page, it's possible your file was too big to post.

ALWAYS go to the appropriate IFQ picture gallery and check that your picture is there.
