Here's a completely different IFQ event! It's a call to create a refrigerator magnet to exchange with an IFQ friend. Now, the wonderful thing about refrigerator magnets is that they can be anything - floral, silky, elaborate, silly - you name it! You can let your creative whims run wild! And how wonderful to have a little something from across the world to look at everytime you open your refrigerator?

The theme for this Magnet Mania event (yes, we do plan to repeat this event!) is CHRISTMAS - of course!! So think angels, Christmas Trees, stockings, Santa or anything that means Christmas to you! Since we are international, it would be wonderful if the finished result represented your local Noel traditions!

Each time that you sign up, you are committing to making one Magnet. You can create anything you wish, just as long as there is some stitching involved and that the finished project can stick to a refrigerator. So make sure it's not too heavy and, of course, make sure that you've stitched a small magnet into the project!

These magnets make make fantastic Christmas gifts, so keep this in mind when you're making up your gift list!

You'll find the dates of the event listed below. After July 13th, you can sign up by clicking the link below (be sure that you are logged into the IFQ Website!). If you wish to make more than one Magnet and be assigned more than partner, you may sign up more than once (after all, you could become a magnet maniac in this exchange!).

In this event, you are required to post a picture of each magnet that you have made by the picture posting deadline. If you do not make the deadline, your name will be taken off the event list and you will not be assigned a partner. If you are having trouble with picture posting, you can refer to the picture prepping page under the HELP menu or you can ask one of the hosts of this event to help you. But please don't leave it until the last minute - your hosts are very busy people!

After the picture posting deadline, you will receive notification when the Partner Link is up. This will appear at the top of this page (if you are logged into the IFQ website and posted your picture(s) by the deadline). Click on this link and you will be taken to your partner's mailing information. Please be sure to mail your items BEFORE or by the mailing deadline, AT THE LATEST. You don't want to disappoint your IFQ friends!
