As IFQ becomes bigger and bigger and spreads across the globe, it takes more and more to keep it running smoothly. If
YOU'D like to give a little back to IFQ, you can volunteer to help us in a number of ways. Below you'll find a list of different possibilities. Just choose the area you'd like to become active in and click on the button.
You will be put on the volunteer list and contacted when the need arises. As long as your name is on the list, we will assume you are available. If you find you do not have the time, please be sure to take your name OFF the list. This is very important since we will be counting on you and sometimes time is important!
Beside each volunteer group, you'll find a description of what it entails. If you are currently signed up, this will also be indicated. Please use the buttons to sign up or remove your name from the list.
| Test Sewing | |
We have lots of interesting patterns coming in for future IFQ projects. We need people who are willing to sew out these patterns and give us feedback. These will be patterns that are at the final stage so they should be in good shape. You may find misspellings, typos or measurment errors. We'd also love to know if anything was confusing and what you thought of the project. Also, please take a picture of the completed project when you're done and send it to us. These projects are generally small items and we would love to get your feedback in two weeks. If it is a larger projects, we will contact the volunteer first and check that they have the time to devote to test sewing. |

| Big Sister | |
If you're interested in helping new members find their way around IFQ and "learn the ropes", then being an IFQ "Big Sister" is for you! Being a Big Sister means being there for a brand new IFQ member and answering questions or showing them around the site. Best of all, you'll be making a new IFQ friend! Your Big Sister stint lasts for 6 months. By that time, your little sister should be an old pro at IFQ and maybe ready to become a Big Sister herself! In order to be an IFQ Big Sister, you must have been an IFQ member for at least 6 months and be well versed in IFQ basics - such as posting pictures, signing up for events, the workings of the chat room and forum, etc. Once you have signed up, you will be put on the volunteer list. As new members register, they will be assigned IFQ Big Sister. We will email your little sister's information so you can contact her and start showing her around! If your name is on the list, we will assume you are ready to be a Big Sister. If you feel you do not have the time at present, it is your responsibility to take your name off the list immediately. |
