Betty Blackwell, of V-PinPals FQ, is hosting the first IFQ Kitchen Kapers event. Participants will make and exchange potholders with each other. You may contact Betty at kapers@friendshipquilters.com

 

• Sign Ups open February 2. You must be a registered, logged in IFQ member to participate in this event. When you sign up you are agreeing to make one potholder to exchange with another participant. You may sign up more than once if you wish to exchange more than one potholder. Each time you sign up you are agreeing to make one potholder. You will receive a confirmation message via email after you sign up. If you do not receive this email confirmation within 24 hours, please contact us right away.
  
  Make sure your email and spam filters will accept mail from kapers@friendshipquilters.com
  
  The potholders may be made any way you like. They must be sewn by you, and be fully functional. Embellish as you like. Just have fun, and make a potholder that you, yourself would be proud to own!

• Sign Ups close February 18.

• Picture Posting Deadline is February 23. You must post a picture of your completed potholder in the Kitchen Kapers Potholder Exchange Gallery no later than this date to be eligible for partner assignment. You must post one picture of each potholder you have made (one for each time you signed up).
  
  If you have any problems posting pictures you may call on Betty for help kapers@friendshipquilters.com. If you need help, please do not wait until the very last minute. Partner assignments will be made a few days after this deadline, and you will be informed of this by email.

• Mailing Deadline is February 28. Your potholders must be in the mail not later than this deadline date. This is a very firm deadline, so please make arrangements to see that your potholders are in the mail in time. Overseas mail must be sent via airmail.
  
  As soon as you get your potholder into the mail, post a message in the Kitchen Kapers Forum stating that step is complete. Then, keep an eye out for YOUR potholder to arrive in the mail!
