Because we are very protective of our members' privacy, there are 2 log 
ins - one is to the IFQ web site and allows you to sign up for IFQ events and gain access to the "Members Only" areas and the other is to the IFQ Forum and Chat area.
The login for the IFQ web site is the email address that you registered with. The username for the Forum and chat area is your name, generally, your first name and last initial. This is because these are the areas we are meeting each other so we are on a "first name basis"!. You will have been sent your Forum and Chat username in your welcome email.
TO LOG INTO THE IFQ WEBSITE: Click on the "log in" link under the MEMBERSHIP menu. On the log in page, you enter 
the email address that you used when registering as an IFQ member and your password. You can tell if you are already logged in because there will be a pink box in the center of the home page if you are. Logging into the IFQ website allows you access to all the "Members Only" areas and permits you to sign up for some of the fun IFQ events.
If you have forgotten your password, you can have it sent to you by going to the "Log in Info" page (under the MEMBERSHIP -> MEMBER TOOLS menu). You will be asked to enter your email address. Make sure that this is the same email address that you used when registering to be an IFQ member. Your password will then be sent to you via email within minutes and you won't lose out on any IFQ fun!!
TO LOG INTO THE IFQ FORUM & CHAT ROOM: These are our "first 
name" areas so you type the username that was sent to you in your IFQ Welcome Email. Your password is the same. Remember the both the username and password are case sensitive. So if your username is Tina G, these entries would not work: tina g, TinaG, Tina g, or tinag. A common mistake that people can make is added a "." at the end of the username. The passwords are normally all lower case, unless you have requested otherwise.
The log in link is on the upper right of the IFQ Forum screen. Once you have logged in, this link will say "Log out [Tina G]". If you keep the "Log me on automatically each visit" box checked, you will not have to log in when you return to the forum on the same computer.
You can have the forum automatically remember you (the box is checked by default) which means you don't have to log out and the next time you come to the forum, you don't have to do anything. You will be able to tell that you are logged in because at the top, there will be a link that says "Log Out" with your 
username in brackets. So you're set!
You must be logged into the forum to post messages and participate in polls. While non-IFQ members can look at the forum and see what fun we're having, they cannot participate. That's a privilege for IFQ Members.
