Here's a fun IFQ event that really sizzles! Make a fun holiday potholder and exchange it with other IFQ members. There is no limit to your creativity! The one requirement is that the final result be a potholder that will perform the function of a potholder. But the rest is up to you and your imagination! And we know that you have LOTS of imagination - just look at the IFQ picture galleries!

This event has a special feature to it. Participants will not only be exchanging holiday potholders, but they will also exchange holiday recipes! What's your favorite holiday recipe? Here's a chance to share it with your IFQ friends!
After sign ups open, you may sign up below (IF you are an IFQ member and logged into the IFQ website). Each time you sign up, you are committing to making one potholder. You may sign up as many times as you wish, but just make sure that you give yourself enough time to give each potholder the time that it deserves. Far better to put a lot of thought in a few than to churn out lots in no time!
Once you have signed up, you can start working on your masterpiece. There will be a picture posting deadline by which you must post a picture of each potholder you have made. This deadline is the same as the RECIPE POSTING deadline. Only members who have posted a picture of their work and have posted a holiday recipe (one for each time signed up) will be assigned a partner. If you sign up three times and make three potholders, then you must post three pictures and three recipes to be assigned three partners. If you post two pictures and two recipes, you will be assigned two partners. IFQ has this requirement to avoid disappointments and to protect our members as best we can.
There will be a special category on the IFQ recipe page to post your recipes in this event. Please post your recipe in the TOO HOT TO HANDLE category, otherwise we will not find them.
You will receive your partner information after the picture posting deadline. Please note that the mailing deadline in this event is close to the picture posting deadline, so be ready to mail! When you send your potholder to your partner, be sure to send your holiday recipe too!
RECIPE POSTING Since this is a new requirement for this particular event, we've posted some guidelines.
** Put "TOO HOT TO HANDLE" in the first line of your recipe. **
Post at least one recipe for each time you signed up. If you wish to post more holiday recipes, you are welcome to.
Your recipes will not appear immediately. If you are concerned about your posting, please contact us at hot@friendshipquilters.com.
It's a good idea to mention the name of your recipe(s) in the "Too Hot to Handle" forum so Betty can keep track of who has and who has not posted recipes.
