Kate Erbach, of My Sister Kate Cloth Confections, has graciously provided the pattern for this event. She was also the creator of the Dilly Dolly pattern that was used in an event last year. Thank you so very much, Kate!
Who inspired you to sew? Who was YOUR muse? After you sign up for this event, you will get a password to use to download Etta Mae, a pattern for a simple cloth doll. Make the doll represent your sewing muse. If you have a real person serving as your muse, make Etta Mae look like her. If your muse is "virtual", make Etta Mae look like the muse in your head. Embellish her, dress her, make her your inspiration! The Etta Mae pattern is suitable for beginning doll makers, and is a great launching pad for experienced doll makers. She is approximately 20-inches tall, from top of head to heel.

When you've finished your Sewing Muse dolly post a picture of her in the IFQ Sewing Muse Doll gallery. Let her be an inspiration for all of your IFQ friends, too! This event is not an exchange: no dolls will be mailed. Your Etta Mae doll is yours to keep. And, we all need a muse from time to time!
Dawn Gudmundson, of V-Piecemakers FQ, and Zerna Beebe, of V-Quilting Bees FQ, are the hosts for this event. You can reach them at doll@friendshipquilters.com.
