Jane Hilary Parker, chapter leader of UK-Threads of Time FQ, has designed a special doll class just for her friends at International Friendship Quilters. She is hosting an online class to help us make our IFQ Friendship Dolls. Sign up for the class below, and join in the fun.
The doll you will make in class is a "wall doll" and is easily assembled from Jane's pattern. When you are finished making her, use your imagination to add embellishments. She will look beautiful sewn of quality patchwork cottons, and is enhanced by using subtle shades and tiny patterns. However, she can also be made using vibrant, clashing colors for a jazzier look.
You must sign up for this class. There are 3 parts to this class. After September 4th, you will be able to download the first class information. You will follow the instructions at home and sew along with your IFQ friends. There is a special Forum set up to discuss your progress and ask questions. There are also chat meetings scheduled so you can talk with other Friendship Quilters who are working on this project. Check the IFQ Calendar for chat times.
On September 18th, we will post Lesson 2. There are also chat meetings scheduled after this date with the designer, Jane Parker. The last lesson posts on October 2nd.
