You must be an IFQ member and logged in to sign up for this event. Sign Ups open June 22 . You will receive a pattern for your coasters after the Picture Posting deadline (read on!).
After the Sign Ups close on July 6 , you will be assigned a partner. Partners will then meet in the Forum and Chat room to get to know one another. You will also find out what colors and types of fabrics your partner likes.
BEFORE the July 24 mailing deadline you will mail eight 5" square pieces of fabric to your partner. These will be in colors and prints that she likes (you found out about that in the Forum/Chat Room).
When your partner receives your squares, she will add twelve more coordinating 5" squares to the group and will take a picture of the collection. The pictures must be posted to the Coaster Scramble Gallery no later than August 8. This picture posting requirement must be met before you can receive the pattern for the coasters. This is a firm deadline.
After the closing date for the picture posting, you will be sent an
email including a special password.
You must set your email filters to accept mail from coaster@friendshipquilters.com. Click on the Download Dog on the IFQ home page, and use that password to access the Coaster Scramble pattern. Use your twenty 5" squares to sew up four coordinating coasters, and think of your new IFQ friend each time you use them!
