Donna Royer, of V-Fabrications FQ, designed this paper foundation pieced quilt pattern. She is the host for this event and may be reached at bom@friendshipquilters.com.
Thanks Donna!

This is an opportunity for IFQ members to hone their paper piecing skills by working on a miniature flower garden quilt. There is no assumption of experience with paper piecing, nor
working in miniature. Blocks will be introduced every month, increasing in difficulty as the weeks go by, so that everyone can master the skills of paper piecing.CHAT ROOM STATUS

Some months will feature one block, and some will have two blocks. All that is required is a desire to learn the technique, a sewing machine and some scraps of fabric.

Blocks will finish at 5", so they are not too tiny for novices to miniature quilting, allowing everyone to explore the world of small quilts. In total there will be 19 blocks to piece. These blocks will be set among plain blocks, resulting in a 25" square wall hanging (excluding borders). All the blocks will be completed in 11 months, and the 12th month you'll set the wall hanging together.
This project is suited to using scraps! You'll need some green for stems and leaves, otherwise the colors can be whatever you choose. Using a consistent background will result in a well unified wall hanging, and is strongly recommenced. This background should be either a solid color or an all over pattern that is non-directional.
