To celebrate IFQ's 2nd birthday, we've got a fun Birthday Placemat project. It's a great way to make someone's birthday even more special! The special Birthday boy or girl gets a unique placemat on their special day! This fantastic placemat can be brought out for every birthday celebration or you can make variations! And, of course, we've added an IFQ twist to this fun project.
This project was designed by Nathalie, Dany & James and will be co-hosted by Nathalie and Dany. As a special bonus, there is a napkin pattern added, as well as a folding technique for a beautiful presentation! The pattern is split into three parts and these will be available for download for 3 successive weeks.
As an added bit of fun, this event includes a cake decorating contest! Each participant may let their imaginations run wild when they decorate the cake block on the mat. After completing the project AND POSTING A PICTURE IN THE GALLERY, we will have a voting session and three lucky participants will be winners! So start gathering "cake garnishs", embellishments to decorate your cake with!
You may make as many placemats as you like, but if you sign up for the pattern, please post at least one picture of a completed mat.
Once you have signed up, you will receive an email from bdayPlacemat@friendshipquilters.com that will contain the password to allow you to download the pattern parts, as they become available. If you do not receive this email within a day of signing up, please let us know.
The chat room will be reserved for Birthday Placemat discussions at the specific dates and time listed below. Please do come and share your progress with other IFQ members. We'll have a place in the forum for people to indicate whether they will be attending a chat or not. This way, you'll know who will be attending!
