The International Friendship Quilters (IFQ) is all about friendship. We get to know each other through the various IFQ events, chats and forums. Every new event that you participate in is an opportunity to make a new quilting friend.
As we get to know one another, we share our joys and also our sorrows. When we learn of another IFQ member's misfortune, we want to reach out and offer some comfort. And that is what IFQ FRIENDSHIP ANGELS is all about.
The Friendship Angels is a list of volunteers who are ready to be called on when we hear that trouble has struck one of our members. When we know of such a situation, we will contact a few from this list and together come up with an idea of a project that we can create to convey our sympathy and friendship. This can vary from a set of blocks (such as heart blocks), a small wallhanging where everyone pitches in or small handmade items.
This group is an invisible group, just like Angels are. We want to represent the concern and friendship of ALL IFQ members so we don't do it as individuals. But you'll have the reward of knowing you have reached out to someone when they needed it most.
To put your name on the list of volunteers, please press the sign up button below (you must be logged into the IFQ website to do this).
Once you have signed up, you will see a link at the bottom of this page that will allow you to list a special small item for use in the IFQ Friendship Angels missions.
