Title

You've always known that ATC's are fun but they've just become more Lettersfun! These Artistic Trading Cards are always fun to make and even more fun to trade. These small objects (2.5" X 3.5") are the perfect canvas for your creativity! You can let your imagination run wild and stitch whatever you like to your ATC foundation.

Judi Kirk, is the hostess with the mostest for this event.

Just when you thought you couldn't have more fun, IFQ has come up with a new twist! This year, we're collecting ATCs. And of course, we need a way to show off your fantastic collection.

MoonSo....this month, when you sign up, you will receive the password to a pattern for a terrific wallhanging to show off your ATCs. This wallhanging is 29" in height by 28". And there will be 36 labeled pockets on this wallhanging. Each pocket will have a letter or number assigned to it - you can appliqué this with the instructions in the pattern, or hand embroider it, paint it OR you can download our machine embroidery files! When finished, you will have a wallhanging with pockets for A - Z and 0 - 9.

Now the fun begins! Each month, when you sign up, you will be assigned a random letter. As before, you make a set of 5 ATCs around a theme - but this time you choose what the theme is - so long as it works with that hatletter. For instance, if you got the letter "Z" you could do a series on wacky Zebras! Then you put your name, IFQ Chapter, your assigned letter, the name of your set on the back as well number the ATCs in the series (1/5, 2/5, 3/5, etc.).

Since we are an international group, you may choose a theme that represents that letter in your own language. But be sure to mark on the back what the letter is. This way we can expand our language skills too!

catOnce we start making actual sets of ATCs (starting in March!) you MUST post a picture of your completed sets before the picture posting deadline. Once partners are assigned, we will post a link to your partner information. Send out your cards and keep watching the mailbox for the arrival of cards that will fit into your wallhanging. And, don't forget, there is always the IFQ ATC TRADING POST in the IFQ forum where you can find the letters that you need to fill your wallhanging pockets and make a swap.

Who will be the first to completely fill up their wallhanging?

ATC's are are small (2.5" X 3.5") pieces of creative fun. If you would like tips on making an ATC, click here. It's a great way to try new things and expand your skills. And it's really wonderful to receive these creations from your IFQ friends!

This month begins the ATC Collectibles event with a downloaded patterntrain for the ATC Collectibles wallhanging. When you sign up, you will receive an email from atc07@friendshipquilters.com (be sure you have set any spam blockers to allow this email address). In this email will be the password for the pattern. You can always access the IFQ DOWNLOAD area by clicking on the IFQ DOWNLOAD DOG on the front page.
